Mobile Golf Cart Repair in Liberty Hill, TX
Liberty Hill sits about 20 minutes west of Georgetown on Highway 29, and it has grown fast enough over the last decade that its golf carts now come in two quite different flavours: subdivision carts in the newer developments, and working carts on acreage. They break differently and it is worth knowing which you have.
Acreage carts
A cart used on property does work a neighbourhood cart never does. Unpaved ground, cattle guards, slopes, trailers, tools, and dust. The consequences show up in a predictable order:
Tires first. Rough ground, punctures from mesquite and cedar, and sidewall damage that no repair will fix. On top of that, Central Texas sun ages the rubber out anyway, so a working cart tends to need tires on condition rather than on tread. $75–$150 each installed, $300–$600 a set.
Brakes second. Descents with a load, dust in the drums, and cables that corrode when the cart lives outdoors. A $75 adjustment caught early beats a $200–$400 overhaul, and on a property with any grade the parking brake is a safety item worth checking.
Then the pack. Deep discharge is the acreage cart’s particular hazard: run it all afternoon, park it, forget it, and repeat. Lead-acid batteries dislike sitting discharged and dislike it more in Texas heat. The range dropping page explains what that does to capacity.
Dust everywhere. In the controller housing, in the motor, in the brake drums, packed into the battery bay where it holds moisture against the terminals.
Subdivision carts
The newer Liberty Hill developments produce a more familiar pattern: carts used for short neighbourhood trips, kept in a garage, charged inconsistently, and driven far less than the owner expected when they bought it. That cart’s enemy is not wear, it is sitting.
The two highest-value habits for a low-use cart in this climate:
- Leave it on the charger or charge it fully and check it monthly. A lead-acid pack sitting at partial charge in a hot garage sulphates, and that capacity does not come back.
- Water the batteries every two to four weeks in summer, distilled water only, after charging. Exposed plates are permanently damaged.
Do those two and a pack reaches its full four to six years. Skip them and three is optimistic. The battery life in Central Texas heat post has the full version.
What we do here
Everything, at your property or driveway: battery packs and lithium conversions, brakes and tires, solenoids, controllers and motors, chargers and charge ports, and annual tune-ups. No trailering the cart anywhere, and the $50–$100 service call is applied toward the repair.
The diagnostic order is always the same and always cheapest-first: load test each battery, check the charger output, check the solenoid before the controller, roll test before assuming a pack problem. That order is the reason to hire a diagnostician rather than a parts-swapper, and it is why plenty of Liberty Hill calls end at a $175 solenoid or a $75 brake adjustment rather than a pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cover Liberty Hill?
Yes, it is about 20 minutes west of Georgetown on 29 and a standing part of our route. No travel surcharge, and measures and repairs are usually scheduled within days.
I keep a cart on acreage rather than in a subdivision. Does that change anything?
It changes what breaks. Acreage carts see unpaved ground, rough terrain, and dust, so tires, suspension components, and brake drums take more abuse than a neighbourhood cart, and dust gets into places it does not in a garage-kept cart. The electrical side is the same.
What does a repair cost in Liberty Hill?
Same published rates as Georgetown: $50–$100 service call applied to the repair, lead-acid packs $1,200–$1,800, lithium conversions $1,600–$3,500, brakes $75–$400, tires $75–$150 each, solenoids $100–$250.
Can you get to a cart that is dead at the back of a property?
Usually yes, and it helps to say so when you book. A cart that cannot move needs the tech to bring tools to it rather than working out of the truck at the door, which is worth planning rather than discovering.
