About Georgetown Golf Cart Repair
Georgetown Golf Cart Repair is an independently operated mobile repair service for golf carts across Georgetown, Sun City Texas, Leander, Cedar Park, and Round Rock. A technician comes to your driveway, garage, or cart garage with parts and tools, diagnoses the cart where it sits, quotes a flat price, and — most of the time — fixes it in the same visit. No trailer, no shop drop-off, no week without your cart.
Why mobile-only
Because in this town, a cart out of service is a real problem. Sun City Texas is the largest active-adult community in the state — more than 7,500 homes where the golf cart is the everyday vehicle to the courses, the fitness centers, the pools, and the shopping areas. Hauling a dead cart to a shop means borrowing a trailer, finding a hitch, and losing the cart for days. Bringing the shop to the cart solves all of that in one scheduled window. The same logic holds in Georgetown’s newer west-side neighborhoods like Wolf Ranch and Parkside on the River, where carts do amenity-center duty on wide internal streets.
What we work on
All major brands — Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution — and most other electric carts, 36V and 48V. The bread and butter: battery packs that have aged out in the Texas heat, carts that won’t take a charge, solenoids that click but don’t go, brakes and tires, and motor and controller faults. We also do annual tune-ups — the cheapest service we sell and the one that prevents the most breakdowns.
What we are not
We are not an authorized dealer, warranty center, or factory-certified service point for any golf cart manufacturer. We won’t imply otherwise, because that honesty matters more than a badge: if your cart is under factory warranty, your selling dealer should handle warranty claims, and we’ll tell you so before taking a dollar. We’re independent, insured local golf cart technicians. That’s the whole pitch — and for the 90% of carts in this area that are past warranty, it’s exactly what you need.
How we price
Published, flat, and up front — the full table is on the pricing page. The $50–$100 service call covers the trip and a genuine diagnostic (per-battery load test, pack voltage checks, charger output test, solenoid and controller checks), and it’s applied toward the repair when you approve the work. We diagnose before we recommend, in the cheap-to-expensive order: charger and wiring before batteries, solenoid before controller, controller before motor. If the honest answer is “this cart isn’t worth the repair,” you’ll hear that too.
The local part
This isn’t a call center dispatching to whoever’s nearest. The service area is deliberately tight — Georgetown as the hub, with routes into Sun City Texas, Leander, Cedar Park, and Round Rock — because tight routes mean same-day and next-day windows instead of “sometime next week.” We know the local quirks that matter: Sun City’s course rules (association-registered carts, ID numbers, turf tires), the Texas 35-mph-street golf cart rules and what equipment a street cart needs, and what a fourth Central Texas summer does to a flooded lead-acid pack sitting in an unshaded cart garage.
Get in touch
Describe the symptom in the quote form — brand, roughly how old the batteries are, what the cart is or isn’t doing — and we’ll respond fast with a real number and a window. If you’re still researching, the FAQ answers the questions we hear most.
