Mobile Golf Cart Repair in Jarrell, TX
Jarrell sits about 15 minutes north of Georgetown on I-35 and has grown quickly, which means its golf carts split between brand-new subdivision carts and older working carts on acreage. Both are a short run for us and both get the same published pricing.
Outdoor carts and what Texas weather does to them
A cart kept under a carport, a tree, or nothing at all lives a harder life than a garage cart, and the failures arrive in a consistent order.
Tires crack before they wear. Ultraviolet light breaks down the compounds that keep tire rubber flexible, and the damage starts on the sidewall. A tire with fine crazing across the sidewall is finished regardless of tread depth, and that is the normal condition of an eight-year-old outdoor cart’s tires here. $75–$150 each installed, $300–$600 a set.
Terminals corrode. Moisture and dust in an open battery bay build resistance at the lugs, and resistance in a several-hundred-amp circuit means heat and voltage drop. That shows up as a cart that cuts out under load or clicks and will not move, and it is frequently fixed within the diagnostic visit.
Brake cables seize. Outdoors, cables corrode inside their housings. A seized cable leaves one brake partly applied, which drags, wears itself out, and quietly costs you range. The roll test on the brakes page catches it in two minutes.
Water level is harder to keep up with. Heat drives electrolyte out fast, and a pack that nobody can see is a pack nobody checks. Every two to four weeks in summer, distilled water, after charging.
Acreage use
If the cart works on a property rather than a street, add rough-ground tire damage, dust into the drums and controller housing, and the deep-discharge cycle: used hard all afternoon, parked, forgotten, repeated. Lead-acid batteries are damaged by sitting discharged, and more so when hot. The range dropping page explains what that costs in capacity.
New subdivision carts
The newer half of Jarrell’s carts have the opposite problem: they barely get used. A cart driven twice a month, charged inconsistently, and left in a hot garage will not reach the pack life its owner expects. The fix is free and it is the same one every time: leave it on a maintaining charger, or charge it fully and check it monthly.
What we do
Everything on site at your driveway or property: battery packs and lithium conversions, brakes and tires, motor, controller and solenoid work, charger and charge-port repair, and annual tune-ups. No trailering anywhere.
The diagnostic runs cheapest-first: each battery load tested individually, charger output checked, solenoid before controller, roll test before anyone assumes a pack. That sequence is why plenty of calls end at a $175 solenoid or a $75 adjustment instead of an $1,800 pack, and it is the whole reason the service call exists.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Jarrell in your service area?
Yes, about 15 minutes north of Georgetown up I-35. It is a standing route with no travel surcharge, and repairs are typically scheduled within a few days.
What does it cost?
The same published rates as everywhere we go: $50–$100 service call applied toward the repair, lead-acid packs $1,200–$1,800 installed, lithium conversions $1,600–$3,500, brakes $75–$400, tires $75–$150 each.
My cart lives outside. Does that change what it needs?
Considerably. An outdoor cart takes full Central Texas sun on its tires, seats, and wiring, and rain and dust into its battery bay and brake drums. Expect tires to age out sooner, terminals to corrode faster, and brake cables to seize. None of it is dramatic; all of it is worth catching at an annual service.
Can you work on a cart at a property with no power nearby?
Yes. Diagnosis and most repairs are done from the truck. What needs planning is a charger test, which wants a working outlet, so tell us when you book if there is not one near where the cart lives.
